About the roomOverview

ABaC’s Suites have either 50 or 68 sqm, divided between the bedroom and the living room. From the room, guests can enjoy de lovely views of the garden. The suite follows ABaC’s high quality standards based on neutral and comfortable design found all around this property. The details in this room have been taken care of in an exceptional way. All the equipment and amenities are of outstanding quality. Good examples of the overall general high quality of the room are the fact that it is totally soundproof; the domotics are signed by Mertel; Telephone, and multimedia equipment by Bang & Olufsen; mattress by “Treca de Paris”; and so on.

The bathroom on the other hand, has been designed in a way that it is no longer a mere functional space of the room, as it is fully integrated in the concept of luxury, neutrality and elegance of the rest of the spaces. The Jacuzzi with chromo-therapy, rain effect shower and Hermès amenities stand out for its quality.

ABaC Restaurant & Hotel is a 5*GL Boutique Hotel with a renowned 2-Michelin Stars restaurant. The hotel has 15 rooms and offers all the amenities and attentions you would expect from a 5*GL, but with a touch of quality and features that sets it apart from other hotels. ABaC is, at present, one of the reference boutique hotels in Barcelona. Listed in the "Conde Nast Traveler Hot List 2009", this 5*GL stands out for several reasons that we will explore throughout this review.

Even before stepping in, the architecture of the building stands out. ABaC is divided in two buildings, which are connected. The first one is an historical building that holds the 15 luxurious rooms, and the second one is a modern design building that holds the Restaurant. In the middle, we find the true heart of ABaC: The Kitchen. Guests can go through the kitchen to get from one building to the other, following a LEDs marked route that allows them to pass through without interfering with its operations. Architecture successfully shows the integration of the two concepts.

Another peculiarity of ABaC is its location in Barcelona’s most elegant uptown, at the beginning of the emblematic Avenida Tibidabo: a preferred site chosen by the Catalan bourgeoisie to place their houses, known for its modernist architecture and the famous "Tramvia Blau", the last of its kind in Spain. This location allows travelers to enjoy a different, smarter Barcelona, but it is still quite close to the main interesting sights in town.

Gastronomy

The award-winning ABaC Restaurant, with its two Michelin stars, is the cornerstone of the project. The restaurant seats 56 people. Located in the newly built pavilion in contact with the garden, interior and exterior are in touch thanks to large windows. Also noteworthy are the two private rooms with capacities of 20 and 60 people respectively.

Bar - Lounge

The "Lounge Bar" located downstairs, in the historic building, stands out for its atmosphere characterized by changes in music, light and colors. Open until 2:30 am. Guests can find more than 900 references in the cellar. Dress code is modern-smart.

Wellness

The hotel offers its guests a fully equipped luxury spa with two treatment cabins, one with water table effect of sea waves and temperature control, and another double cabin for special treatments (table and tatami). The spa also offers color therapy, swimming pool+jacuzzi, cold pool, hammam, heated hammock , manual therapies, facials, Asian therapies, juices and tea bar.
